05-16-2004 New project
Along with taking a security class at UIUC, Luke StClair and I started working on a class project called Orpheus. It is a Kerberos 5 security auditing tool, but currently it is in very early stage of development. See the project page for more details.

03-04-2004 dsniff again
After posting tip on how to compile dsniff on Slackware, I tried building it again recently, after I upgraded to libnet 1.1.1. It no longer compiles because of the changed API of libnet. Expect a patched version of dsniff to appear soon. If anyone wants to help testing it, drop me an email.

01-16-2004 Help stop the spam gestapo
Our friends at fscked.org have discovered a problem with blacklisting spammers. The main problem is that "dynamic" IPs are being blacklisted as convinience of the blacklist operators even if there is no open relaying allowed on these hosts. Join our effort to stop these so called anti-spam lists.

12-21-2003 Update

07-06-2003 We got slashdotted

Well this was most unexpected. We still have a lot of work to do on this book, and are still in the process of looking for a publisher. In fact, both Nasko and I were working on the book as this was posted (quite a shock!). We're still putting together screenshots, describing debugging utilities, etc..

In fact, the book looks more complete than it actualy is. Most of the chapters are basically just an outline that we've been filling in as we go along.

Keep checking the book periodically for more updates, as again, this is a work in progress. If you notice any ommissions, or have any contributions, we would be glad to take them.

Thanks,
Nasko Oskov & Mike Perry

01-31-2003 Design change
The design changed. The site looks different, but it is now dynamic. The design is pretty modular and flexible, which should allow for easier administration and updates.
